SIZING
We want you to have the best fit possible. Please follow our tips below to find the right size for you:
- Firstly, we recommend measuring the length of your foot in centimeters.
- From that length, we recommend adding 0.5 centimeters to
have the right amount of extra space for the tip.
We generally suggest ordering Altra running shoes ½ size larger than a lifestyle shoe.
Some styles (such as Lone Peak and Torin) are available in Wide.
Our Wide versions are wider in the midfoot, heel,
and forefoot than our standard models.
Altra Rivera 2 Women's Running Shoes
The Rivera 2 is here to move. Featuring Altra's Slim FootShape fit, the Rivera 2 offers a snugger fit while also allowing your feet to sit naturally on your road runs. Breathable Engineered Mesh Upper
The Altra Rivera 2 Running Shoe features a mesh upper that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh works to suck in the cool, fresh air and push out hot, muggy air created as you run. This allows you to feel comfortable throughout your run and maintain focus. The mesh is quick drying in order to keep your feet dry, adding to the comfortable feel. The lightweight and breathable material helps to reduce unwanted bulk to help keep you focused and moving. The FootShape toe box allows your toes to relax and spread out naturally for more comfort and stability. This Slim FootShape fit allows for extra stability in uphill climbs and downhill descents. The flexible upper moves with you providing comfort with every step and the laces provide a nice snug and secure fit which in turn prevents any in-shoe slipping that can occur during high-intensity activities.
Altra EGO Midsole
The midsole unit uses the tried-and-true Altra EGO which is a dual-nature midsole compound with a responsive, yet soft feel for increased energy return. The cushioning reduces the impact placed on joints, lessening the potential risk of injury. Grid-like grooves feature to allow your foot to flex for more speed and better performance throughout your run. Balanced cushioning is provided to place the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground for natural alignment and a low-impact landing.
Neutral InnerFlex Outsole
The Rivera 2 Running Shoe actually maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally with Footpod technology. Neutral InnerFlex features on the outsole for added comfort when you move whilst enhancing durability and traction perfect for running.
